Warmth

I enjoy making many things, but the things I enjoy making most are the ones that give warmth.
With every stitch I make when making scarves and hats, I feel the warmth of the heart that comes from knowing the finished product will bring warmth to the receiver.

Love Affair With Yarn

It's a little known fact that people who crochet and/or knit have a love affair with yarn. They have their favorites and ones for which they discover a love. I am no exception to this.
I recently got my hands on some yarn I have been wanting for a very long time and fell in love with it before it touched my needles. I fell deeper in love when I began knitting with it.
What yarn could have such an effect on me? It's called Pomp-A-Doodle. It's made by RedHeart. It's very soft and looks fabulous.

The Journey

Knitting and crocheting, like life, are a journey.
You take something from the beginning and you see it through to the end.
Each project takes you down a new road that takes you on a journey that can be unpredictable.
In the end, the journey is worth all the pain, frustration, anger, an all other emotions one goes through before reaching the final destination.

Knitting is awesome.

I haven't knit for a while, but will start up again soon. My project of choice is a baby blanket.

Marching on with Knitting

It is March and I had laid down my yarn and needles for a few weeks. I picked them back up this past Saturday and have a goal to knit a little each day in March and have a project done by the end of the month.

The Zen of Knitting

I have found that knitting makes me very relaxed.
In fact, I have actually fallen asleep knitting.
Case in point. Last night and today I had fallen to a bad turn in my health. I decided to do some knitting to take my mind off of things for a bit. I got so relaxed, I ended up falling asleep with my knitting.
Knitting puts me in a Zen-like state.

Knitting Therapy

Today is the day I see the doctor.
I will be taking my knitting with me to keep me busy while I wait.
I find knitting very therapeutic.

Knitting Together

Last night, I attended a knitting group for the first time.
I had a great deal of fun knitting and chatting it up with others.
It was so neat to see everyone working on their various projects.

Blanket

I am %40 done with my blanket.
I had been working on it on and off for a while and ended up taking a long break.
I am hoping to have the blanket done by early/mid spring.
When the blanket is finished, I will post a pic in the blog.
